5G is quickly overtaking other wireless technology networks & may soon become the standard for cell phone coverage. But there have been many backlashes with protesters claiming the technology could be harmful to human health.
This has led to an increase in anti 5G products that claim to protect against supposedly harmful radiation. Many of these products have been discovered as scams, and now a new BBC report reveals that they may in fact be dangerous.
The Dutch authority for nuclear safety & radiation protection (ANVS) issued a warning for around 10 products found to be radioactive, & anti 5G necklaces found to be one-of-them. ANVS has warned that these products could cause damage with long-term wear.
“Stop wearing it, put-it away safely & wait for instructions for return,” said in a statement by ANVS.
“Vendors in the Netherlands known to ANVS have been informed that the sale is prohibited and must be stopped immediately and that they must inform their customers about this.
For the most part, scientists say 5G is actually safe. The World Health Organization has stated that 5G mobile networks are not that different from existing 3G & 4G signals, which makes them completely harmless.
Meanwhile, a study by researchers at Oregon State University focused on the side effects of 5G on embryonic zebrafish & found that there was little to no impact on their health, suggesting that it would be the same for human beings.
However, it should be noted that more than 215 scientists from 40 different countries have appealed to US Federal Communications Commission, asking the agency to consider health risks & environmental concerns before rapidly deploying 5G infrastructure.
However, concerns about 5G shouldn’t push people to buy products that are completely unnecessary, if not harmful.
