Body Bogglers
If you’re looking for a good secret, look no further than the bathroom mirror. You’d think scientists have already figured out all aspects of their territory, but that’s not the case. Here are seven of the biggest body bogglers.
Why So Wimpy?

If you shave a chimpanzee and take a photo of its body from neck to waist, “at first glance, you wouldn’t notice that it’s not human,” said Kevin Hunt, director of Human Origins. and Primate Evolution Lab at Indiana University. The muscles of the two species are extremely similar, but somehow chimpanzees are pound for pound two to three times stronger than humans, Hunt told us. It’s unclear why we are so much weaker than our closest hominid. Family members; perhaps the points of attachment of our muscles differ slightly or our muscle fibers are less dense.
Either way, the result is a bit humiliating. Hunt once saw an 85-pound chimpanzee in an African forest cutting branches from an ironwood tree with the appropriate name. Fingertips. Hunt took both hands and all the strength he could muster to break off an equally thick branch.
Left Handed
Nine out of 10 people are right-handed. More mysterious than the lack of left-handers is the fact that humans primarily have dominant hands, why only one hand with first-class motor skills instead of double dexterity? One theory is that the use of the hands is due to more complicated wiring on the side of the brain involved in speech (which also requires fine motor skills). Since the language center is usually in the left hemisphere of the brain, the side connected to the right side of the body, the right hand dominates most people, but this theory hits a big blow to the fact that not everything is okay – hands dominate Speech in the left hemisphere, while half of left-handed people do.
Whose Breasts?
As with all other women, women’s breasts fill up with milk when they have newborns to feed, but single women also have swollen breasts the rest of the time. Scientists cannot agree on what or who our “permanently enlarged breasts” are. Most evolutionary biologists believe that breasts are used to attract men who believe that a busty woman would make great baby food (although their breasts are actually fat and not milk).
Developed for women and babies, not men, it notes that in many cultures men cannot find large or even remotely sexy breasts. Florence Williams, author of Breasts (W. Norton, 2012) believes that women develop permanently enlarged breasts so that the hormones in the breasts promote fat storage and that stored fat is released into milk while breastfeeding. In short, “the fat from the breasts builds the baby’s brain,” said Williams Life’s Little Mysteries. The theory has yet to prevail.
Hairy Explanation
Theories abound when it comes to the pubic bone. Some say these coarse, curly tendrils are sexual jewelry, a visual sign of sexual maturity, and a reservoir of stinking pheromones. padded to avoid chafing during sex. Whatever the reason, many modern people want this to go away.
Microbes

A few handfuls of his body aren’t actually his body. There are 10 microbes living in you for each of your cells. , and those hangersons add up to a few pounds (1 to 3 percent) of their total weight. Some of these inner fauna cleanses our skin while another helps us digest food, but most of these microbes contribute to our body functions in unknown ways. Healthy people even have small amounts of harmful viruses that seem to do something other than make us sick.
“We learn that the consequence of antibiotics is that if we get rid of the good bacteria in our gut, we can develop autoimmune diseases [like type 1 diabetes]. Are we still not that far in our understanding of viruses for us? “Vincent Racaniello, a professor of microbiology and immunology at Columbia University, told Life’s Little Mysteries,” Obviously we’ve signed up for a lot of symbiotic relationships and we have no idea what to get out of it.
Wherefore Appendices?
Poor old human appendix is with wisdom teeth, Ear muscles and other useless evolutionary remnants littered with insignificance. The worm-shaped organ seems insignificant because it can be removed without apparent inconvenience. But biologists have recently begun to question the long-held belief that the appendix is useless. Some suggest that it can help train the immune system during fetal development. Other research suggests that the organ serves as a “safe house” for bacteria that aid digestion and a secret hiding place for microbes that repopulate the rest of the digestive tract after gut-evacuating bouts of diarrhea.
Neural Connections In Brain

There are 100 trillion neural connections in the brain. How do we feel alive? Many great thinkers believe that consciousness is not only the greatest mystery of the human body, but also the greatest age. V. Ramachandran said: “[My] brain, including your brain, is made up of atoms forged in the hearts of countless distant stars billions of years ago. These particles have been floating for billions of years and light years, just like gravity and Opportunities are the same. These atoms now form a collection. Your brain can not only measure the stars that made it, but also reflect your own thinking and reflection ability about your ability to surprise you. The universe suddenly became confident. This is true. Is the biggest secret.
