StudioMOM, an innovative design firm, created the LAVO bike, a compact modular transport concept with hydrogen powered that allows long-distance transport without using heavy batteries, particulates or CO2 emissions.
Designed to bring mankind a step closer to a society that is free from the emission at a time when bicycles have become the norm in congested cities, the hydrogen bike overcome some of the bikes drawbacks by in-corporating the LAVO system, ” include a hydrogen storage technology.

According to the company, the LAVO system is the world first hydrogen energy storage system designed for daily use by residential homes & businesses.
The technology behind the innovative bike.
Lavos technology, developed by the leading researchers at the University of New South Wales, aims to provide a more complete, versatile & sustainable solution than other energy storage solutions in the market.
The Lavo bike is equipped with small hydrogen tanks that collect hydrogen from water & solar power and use it to power the bike. In short, its pro-priestary energy storage system converts electricity from solar panels using an electrolyzer separating water into its hydrogen & oxygen components before it is transferred to a long-term storage system that contains a metal alloy to produce hydrogen.

Generally, the bike is fully charged in about 10 minutes and has range of about 93 miles (150 km) to the next charge. Compared to market competitors, LAVO’s technology has 3 times the storage capacity and a useful life-span that is more than double, which offers a unique value proposal and a significant competitive advantage.
Outside, the bike is seek, and it is designed to be portable & versatile, it is built with light- weight materials. It has cargo design to accommodate the basic weight of a hydrogen powered system. In addition, the design offers a range of modular elements that may be potentially make it easier to repair or upgrade. All these features make it perfectly adaptable, transform without problems its ergonomic build from city’s bike to transportation bike for the use of small businesses.
