YouTube is now testing a feature that might allow users to download YouTube video of their choice on desktop browser.
Today, YouTube does allow users to download videos offline on Android & iOS app, but this is often the 1st time it’s enabling this feature on a browser.
Reported first by Android Police, YouTube’s upcoming feature is currently available for YouTube Premium users on YouTube’s experimental features page.
How to download videos from YouTube (officially)
In case you’re a YouTube Premium user & need to try it out, first enable the feature through the ‘experimental features’ page here. Scroll down & switch on the feature & you’re good to go.

Now once you go to any video on YouTube you’ll get a ‘Download’ button right below the video, next to ‘Share’ button. Clicking there on would begin the download process (which took a second for me).
